Horror fans know that when a movie is so good that it keeps them guessing, they will not be happy until they know the ending. The same goes for Don’t Breathe (2016).

We know some horror movies for having a twist ending, while others keep the audience in suspense by refusing to reveal the ending until the very end.

With these types of movies, we often know them for their ambiguity and confusion.

While many viewers may guess what happens at the end of these movies, there are many viewers who cannot make heads or tails of what really happens.

Don’t Breathe is a 2016 American horror film directed and produced by Fede Alvarez, with co-producers Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert; and with co-writers Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues.

Jane Levy, Dylan Minnette, Daniel Zovatto and Stephen Lang star in the film, which focuses on three friends, trapped in the house of a blind man, while breaking into it.

The film is a collaboration between Ghost House Pictures and Good Universe, and Sony Pictures Releasing distributed it.

Is “Don’t Breathe” a Good Movie?

Don’t Breathe is a movie that twists the plot 180 degrees during the first half and causes the audience to wonder who the villain is and whom to root for would be the best description of this grim, horrible thriller.

This movie strangles us into the clutches of a narrative that is barb-wired with sequences exploring the depth of human pain threshold—both of the ‘characters’ on screen and those watching.

Will force any violent teenager who is tempted to become a violent criminal to rethink their plans by showing what exactly can go wrong when dealing with the unknown.

This movie is a revelation, completely remaking the genre of horror films and delivering a well-crafted portentous plot that will leave you gasping with gasps and bruises, and shootings all over the place.

What’s the Movie About?

Don’t Breathe follows the lives of three teenagers who plan and commit petty thefts in and around their town. Alex, played by Dylan Minnette, is probably the only one who has a sense of fairness.

We catch Alex in a one-sided romantic fling with Rocky (played by Jane Levy), but instead of looking at her jealousy, he chases her with concerned looks and protective gestures.

Rocky doesn’t despise Alex, but she still doesn’t show the same enthusiasm that Alex does.

Money, played by Daniel Zovatto, ignores moral things in their daily activities. Alex succumbs to the loud-natured bullying that Money has provided him with his feelings for Jane.
