What Your Cat is Telling You With Their Tail

Cats have very unique tails, but there are some behaviors that cats use to communicate.
For example, the wagging of a cat’s tail can be used as indicators of mood, such as excitement, happiness, or displeasure. The wagging of a cat’s tail can also be used to communicate social signals to other cats and people.
Here’s some meanings of the body language your cat can convey through distinctive cat tail positions:
The first of common cat body signals is when they hold their tail tall.
If your cat is feeling very happy, they will hold their tail in a more upright position. They may also rub against you or dance around in circles.
An erect tail is usually accompanied by purring. If they have a straight-up tail as they walk around your house, it means that they feel comfortable there and they know they’re safe.
When your cat has a playful mood, they will hold their tail in a slight curve. Their tail may form a question mark of sorts, where it stands straights but then goes on a downward curve.
If your cat approaches you while their tail is in a question mark, it may be time for you to take a break from work so you can play with them.
Your cat probably has a lot of energy pent up and would want to be able to play around with you so work all of that out.
