Sleep is a very important factor in our daily lives. However, it can be very frustrating when we have sleep problems because of stress, anxiety, depression, and insomnia.

If you are also experiencing insomnia, then read on. We will talk about what you should do when you can’t fall asleep.

1. Find a relaxing and comfortable position

2. Stop worrying about sleeping for a while

You can learn how to control your worries about sleep and be more confident about falling asleep. Try not to think about the time when you have to wake up or about things that are disturbing you at night.

Think of something else, for example, go for a walk, read a book, or watch TV until you feel sleepy. You will find that this will help you fall asleep faster than if you continue worrying about sleeping problems.

3. Use the bedroom only for sleeping and sex!

Make sure that you do not use the bedroom as an office, dining room, or TV room during the day as this will keep your mind awake at night, causing more insomnia problems.

Avoid drinking coffee and using blue light a few hours before bedtime as it keeps your mind awake. Electronic devices also make your internal clock go haywire.

A hot bath is also good at relaxing and calming your mind before bedtime, as it will help you sleep better too! Drink plenty of water during the day, which helps in eliminating toxins from your body, and make sure that you eat well and have enough sleep.
