3. Make a Lemon Battery

This is a great science experiment that will allow your kids to test the power of electrical energy. All you need is a lemon, some copper wire, a penny, and some alligator clips.

You will need to cut the copper wire into two pieces that are about 3 inches long. Then twist one end of the wire around each end of the penny.

Then tape the penny to the middle of the lemon. Then connect the alligator clips to the wires and touch the wires to the lemon. The kids should be able to see a spark jump between the lemon and the penny.

4. Make a Cloud in a Jar

This is another very cool science experiment that you can do with your kids. To make a cloud in a jar, you will need a bottle (something like a pickle jar), some dish soap, some glycerin, and some water.

Use a funnel to fill the jar about 1/3 of the way up with water. Then add about 3 tablespoons of dish soap. You can add the dish soap with a pipette if you want to get it exactly right.

Then add some glycerin. The kids will be able to see the cloud in the jar because of the glycerin. Glycerin is a natural substance that attracts water, and it helps the clouds stay together.

5. Make some Bouncy Balls

This is a classic science experiment that you can do with your kids. All you need is a little bit of water, a couple of toilet paper rolls (the kind that is 2 inches in diameter), and a plastic drinking cup.

Cut the toilet paper rolls into pieces that are about 1.5 inches long. Then put one end of the toilet paper roll into the cup and the other end into the water. Then pour the water into the cup. The kids should be able to see the toilet paper roll bouncing in and out of the cup.
