Progressive muscle relaxation is a technique that involves tensing and relaxing certain muscles in your body one by one until all the muscles are relaxed (or at least until you feel calm). This is a very effective method for calming down and reducing anxiety.
There are many progressive muscle relaxation techniques that you can use to relax different parts of your body (e.g., tensing and relaxing the muscles in your legs, tensing and relaxing the muscles in your arms, tensing and relaxing the muscles in your stomach, etc.).
