Common Physical Symptoms of Stress

5. Headaches/Nausea/Vomiting/Diarrhoea/Heartburn

Many people who suffer from stress will often complain about headaches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and heartburn. These are all symptoms of an upset stomach that can be attributed to stress.

A common reason for these symptoms is that stress can have a negative impact on our digestive system. It can cause problems with the way that we digest food and can also lead to constipation or stomach pain as a result of stress.

6. Anxiety

This is another common symptom of stress that many people experience during the course of their day.

Stress is known to cause anxiety in those who suffer from it and so it is not uncommon for those who are under pressure at work or school to experience bouts of anxiety as a result of their daily routine.

This is often because they feel as though they cannot handle their work load, and so they experience bouts of anxiety as a result.

Stress is also known to cause people to develop phobias and panic attacks as well as other mental health conditions such as depression and panic attacks.

7. Anger/Depression/Impulsiveness/Irritability/Aggression

Many people who suffer from stress will often experience anger, depression, impulsiveness, irritability, aggression, or some combination thereof during the course of their day.

These are all symptoms of stress and can be attributed to the way that stress can cause you to feel negative emotions such as anger, depression, or anxiety.

This is often because your body is responding to the way that you are feeling in an unhealthy manner. It is also possible that you might be experiencing feelings of sadness or grief as a result of stress.
