A toxic partner is often abusive. This means that they will mistreat the other person in some way. This can be physical, emotional, or even sexual.

Abusive partners often don’t care about the other person, and will do anything to get what they want. This can be incredibly damaging, and is one of the clearest signs that you’re in a toxic relationship.

5. Frequent Lying

Healthy couples tell the truth to each other. When things start to go wrong, however, the couple may start to lie to each other. This may be small lies, or it may be bigger lies.

If the lies are becoming bigger and more frequent, it’s a sign that something is wrong. These bad behavior patterns often lead to mistrust, and can eventually destroy the relationship.

Is It Possible to Fix a Toxic Relationship?

Difficult relationships can be difficult to fix. However, if you’re in a toxic one, there are a few things you can do to try and fix it.

1. Talk About It

The first step is to talk about it. When two people are unhappy, they often keep it all to themselves. Talking about the problems will help to solve them, and can lead to a healthier relationship.

2. Make Changes

If talking isn’t working, then it’s time to make some changes. In a toxic relationship, one or both of the people involved may need to make some changes.

This may mean that one of them needs to move out, or that they need to change their behavior. If one person is unwilling or unable to make these changes, it’s time to get out of the relationship.

3. Get Help

To seek help is often the best way to fix a toxic relationship. This doesn’t mean that you need to go to a therapist, or go through some kind of program. Any kind of support can be helpful, and there are many resources available.
