Fleas are parasites that are extremely common in pets. This is especially true if you have big furry pets, like adult dogs.

Though they can be quite annoying, but they are usually easy to get rid of. You can purchase over-the-counter medications for fleas, or you can make some yourself using natural ingredients!

A mixture of vinegar and water can be used to kill flea eggs. Put together a little bit of white vinegar, baking soda, and lemon juice. Pour the mixture over your pet’s bedding or your carpet. You can also pour the mixture into a spray bottle and use it as needed on your pet’s bedding or carpet.

2. Stick to Kibble

One of the healthiest diet options for your pet is kibble. Although you may be tempted to go for canned foods, first-time pet parents may benefit from going with kibble first.

It is true that canned foods tend to be higher in protein and nutrients. However, kibble is a lot more affordable than canned foods. So, you might want to try out kibble first to see if regularly buying it is something that your budget can handle.
