CERN’s Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is another example of an ongoing science experiment that has been running for over a decade.
The LHC is the world’s largest and most powerful particle accelerator, which is a device that can speed up particles to near light speed in order to replicate conditions that existed just after the Big Bang.
This ongoing science experiment was first started in 2008 and has been running ever since. CERN hopes to use the LHC to find evidence of dark matter, supersymmetry, and even the Higgs boson particle.
People hope that these results would help scientists understand more about the origins of our universe but as yet they have achieved no conclusive results with this ongoing science experiment.

SETI – Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence is an ongoing science experiment that has been running for over half a century without interruption.
The goal of this ongoing science experiment is to listen out for signals from alien civilizations in space. Humans believe that we are not alone in the universe and there may be other life forms out there who have reached similar levels of technological advancement as us.
In order to carry out this ongoing science experiment, scientists use a number of different radio telescopes to listen out for any potential signals from alien civilizations.
However, so far they have detected no signals and scientists are not sure if there is life out there in the universe or not.
These are just three examples of ongoing science experiments that have been running for many years without interruption. Many more are currently in progress, including a number of new ones that are just starting out.
It is interesting to learn about these ongoing science experiments and see how they progress over the years. It will also be more interesting to see if we can achieve any conclusive results and beneficial effects in the future.
