Why You Don't Need a Smartphone Case

Smartphone companies are releasing many types of phone cases.
You might see one that can do everything from changing the color of your phone to getting notifications to automatically turning on the flashlight when you take out your phone at night.
Now, these are all excellent features, but you don’t need them. In fact, I’ve never used a case that added any functionality that I didn’t already have.
Here are four reasons you don’t need a smartphone case:
Contrary to your belief, smartphone manufacturers know their phones are going to be dropped. They design them that way so that the phone stays safe without getting damaged.
Why? Warranties and the replacement cost of a phone that’s received damage because of an accident or misuse is significantly higher than by falling.
So, even though you don’t drop your phone on purpose, the odds are good that you will drop it at some point.
The best thing you can do is take advantage of the fact that it’s stronger than you expect it to.

Another reason you don’t need a smartphone case is that it makes your phone bulkier and heavier.
As a result, the phone is less portable. Instead of taking it with you everywhere, you’ll have to keep your phone in your pocket or purse and deal with the extra weight.
Not only does this decrease the functionality of your phone, but it also makes it more difficult to carry around.
Some phone models are also more prone to damage because of the extra weight.
