Alien and interspecies warfare films feature alien species that are warring with each other. These films are often based on current events and can have a positive or negative message.
Films like “Earth vs. The Flying Saucers” feature aliens who attack the Earth in order to steal its resources. In this film, they depict the aliens as monsters that need to be destroyed.
Other films like “War of the Worlds” show us how aliens are invading our planet and we must fight them off; we can see that they are terrifying but we must protect ourselves from them.
In science-fiction movies, we often see the female characters play a significant role in the storyline. Films like “Firefly” show us that women are able to take on roles traditionally reserved for men.
We also see female characters who are powerful and respected, as well as ones who fall victim to their circumstances.
In “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story“, we see a young woman bringing down her enemy, the empire who has killed her parents. The power of science fiction to empower women is clearly present in this movie, and many audiences love it.

Cyberpunk films explore a future where people use technology, such as artificial intelligence, to improve their lives. However, we can also use this technology for more sinister purposes, such as surveillance or hacking.
We can see this theme explored in films like “Paycheck” and “Untraceable“, which features a computer hacker who uses his skills to steal information and sell it on the black market.
In other films, we see that technology can be a positive thing, such as in “Deja Vu“, where people can find criminals using advanced technology.
Zombies have become a popular theme in sci-fi films because they allow for an interesting story with plenty of action, tension and suspense.
We can see this in movies like “Resident Evil” where people infected by a virus turn into aggressive, violent zombies that hunt down their victims; these people must try to survive against the hordes of zombies.
Other films, like “The Scorch Trials“, set off in a world where a virus has caused adults to become zombie-like creatures. In this film, the survivors must find a cure before they become the next victims.
