How I found my inner strength

I used to wonder if I was just born with a lack of willpower. I used to wonder how other people had so much determination.I remember having a hard time getting out of bed in the morning. I thought to myself that there must be something wrong with me.

It was not until I actually did something about it that I realized that it was not wrong with me. It was something wrong with my approach. I wanted to be more productive, I wanted to have more willpower, I wanted to increase my discipline, but I did not want to do what it took to do so. I did not want to put in the work, such as reading books, watching videos, or listening to podcasts. I did not want to bother doing pushups or weight lifting.

My turning point was reading a blog post on how to get disciplined. I read the article, and it sounded very familiar to me. I knew it would not be an easy task, but I decided to take the first step, and I started reading books and listening to podcasts on self-discipline. Here are some of the things I learned:

1. Start small and work your way up

Start by doing one pushup a day. Do pushups in the morning before you start your day. Even if you do not have a lot of energy, do it anyways.

It is not about the number of pushups. It is about doing something you did not do the day before. It does not matter how many times you fail. Just keep trying.

2. If you fall off, get back on

Just because you fell off does not mean you have to give up. Just get back on it. The important thing is to keep trying.
