4. Limit the amount of sodium you consume

The risk of heart attack and stroke is significantly higher for those who consume a lot of sodium.

We can find sodium in processed foods, canned and packaged goods, fast foods, and restaurant meals.

If you want to lower your cholesterol, cut back on the sodium you eat.

5. Limit alcoholic beverages
