Chemistry is one of the most important branches of science. It is involved in all of the world’s technological advances and the way we live.

Chemistry is more than just experiments that involve various chemicals, it is about how those chemicals interact with each other. This can be done in a number of ways and there are many experiments that can be done at home.

If you’re looking to do some simple experiments for kids, or even if you’re prepping for a fun science fair yourself, you can try one of the cool science experiments below.

Here are some fun chemistry experiments for kids:

1. Baking Soda Volcano

This is a classic, but simple experiment for kids. For it, you will need dish soap, white vinegar, food coloring, baking soda, a glass of water, and an empty big bottle of soda (preferably the ones for 1-to-2 liters).

First, create a soda mixture in a separate bowl by filling a cup with half baking soda and half water. Mix it until the liquid is smooth.

Then, pour vinegar, dish soap, water, and food coloring into the soda bottle. Finally, pour the baking soda and water mixture and quickly stand back!

The vinegar and baking soda combined should make an eruption come out of the bottle. This is an experiment that teaches us about how carbon dioxide is created.

2. Colored Slime

You will need light corn syrup, a bit of food coloring, a bowl, hot water, unflavored gelatin, and salt. Put the gelatin and salt into your bowl. Then, pour the light corn syrup followed by the hot water.

Add drops of food coloring based into the cornstarch-water mixture based on what color you want your slime to be, then let the mixture cool in a fridge for half an hour.

When you take it out, it will look like snotty type of slime. You can control how thick or soft your new colored slime is by adjusting the water level.
