Having pets could be a big part of your life. Having pets means you have to look after them and take them out for walks and feed them and clean up after them and so on.

This is why it is important to start with low-maintenance pets. If you start with high-maintenance pets, you will get annoyed and quit and give up on the game before you even get started.

It would be best if you started with pets that are low-maintenance pets. Other than cats and dogs, these seven low maintenance pets are the ones you should start with:

1. Guinea pigs

Guinea pigs are very easy to care for. They don’t need to be fed very often, and they don’t need to be taken out for walks very often either.

You can just leave them in their cage and let them get on with their lives while you get on with your life.

2. Hamsters

Like guinea pigs, hamsters aren’t very fussy about what they eat. You can give them chopped carrots or sunflower seeds, and they will eat them. You don’t have to give them special hamster food.

3. Fish

Fish are also easy to care for. You can just put them in a tank or a pond. However, it is important to clean the tank or the pond regularly. Usually, you will have to clean it once a week.
