4. Keep Yourself Safe
A safe space is important with any emotional crisis, and especially so for a suicidal crisis.
We have to think of our safety first. In order to do that, we need to keep ourselves safe.
What does this mean? It means that you have to be with people who love you and care about you, like your family or your friends.
Also, avoid all kinds of weapons, including knives and guns.
We don’t know how long your suicidal crisis will last, but it could last a long time. So when it’s time for you to get out of the situation and keep yourself safe, try to do it in a calm and safe way.

5. Postpone Making Big Decision
Suicidal ideation and attempts are often triggered by big decisions.
When we are facing such a situation, we may want to rush into deciding and hoping that it will be the best choice for us. However, when we do this, it is usually the worst decision that we could have made.
We may end up not taking the time to make sure that we are making the best choice for us. This can lead to us being more depressed and eventually becoming suicidal.
If you feel you need to make a big decision in your life, take a step back and talk to your friends or family members.
Ask them what they think you should do. If they are supportive of your decision, then go ahead with it.
If not, then keep looking into options until you find something that makes sense for you.
