However, fashion can be interpreted in many ways. When we look at fashion trends from a historical perspective, we can see that it has changed dramatically over the years.

1. Haute Couture
Haute couture is the highest quality of fashion. It involves making clothing that is unique and that can only be produced by a few tailors.
This makes it extremely expensive, but the garments produced by haute couture are considered to be the most beautiful garments in the world. The fashion industry has had a fascination with haute couture since the 18th century, and today it is still very popular.
2. Swinging Sixties
In the 1960s, fashion trends were all about being youthful and carefree. The decade was known for popular music, psychedelic art, youth rebellion, and social upheaval.
Popular fashions included miniskirts, mod fashions (a combination of British mod and American hip), bell bottoms, psychedelic prints, zoot suits (suit coats worn with bell bottoms), mini-skirts, bell-bottoms (pants that hit below the knee), miniskirts (skirt length was usually above mid-thigh), wide ties with shirts with wide collars and matching pocket handkerchiefs for men and ties for women.
In the US this era was known as “The Swinging Sixties”.
