What Does The End Mean?
Let us dig in deeper to get a feel for what happened in the film. A group of people went to a cabin together. It wasn’t a random trip. The Cabin was an appointed destination.
All we hear about the cabin that the group were staying in is that it was someone’s cousins. We don’t know who this relative is, or how he convinced the group to go to that cabin.
The man who is waiting at the gas station tells me that many people have been to this cabin in the past. The way the script is written, this cabin seems like the stage.
Some people are indulged in going up to the cabin every once in a while to spend a weekend there.
Various characters need to come and play their roles, and in order for them to be successful, they need to be assembled.
A group of people working on a project may not wait until the right people show up to work on it. They may be very busy every day until that group of people shows up.
We already know that the tech team has access to gas that can influence decisions. It’s easy to imagine that they influenced and made it happen to the Group.
Just for a Good Show
Gods want a great show, so while it isn’t shown in the film, it was created by the tech people.
They secretly tried to influence the decisions that these people made to ensure that, on the designated date, they landed at the cabin.
What the guy at the gas station said was that she looked like a whore. He is aware of the rules of the group.
Yes, they are like The Virgin, and yes, the tropes are an approximate representation of that.
As long as they have a good show, the Gods will accommodate them. In a nutshell, the Group didn’t be there by accident, it’s all an elaborate setup.
Too bad that plan went badly wrong.
While slasher films are supposed to be outrageous, but this movie has become predictable.
The Cabin In The Woods capitalized on all the stereotyping about slasher movies, in order to prove there is a reason slasher events seem so pattered.
