Are you being obsessed with your partner? Have you tried to understand them more than you would like to? Do you feel they are a bit of a mystery to you?
Well, maybe it is time that you stopped trying to understand them and started accepting that they differ from everyone else. There is no point in feeling like your partner is a puzzle that needs solving.
Here is why it’s not good to obsess over your partner:
#1 You Can’t Get Them Out Of Your Head

If someone were in love with their partner, there would be nothing wrong with that. The problem comes when the person cannot get them out of their head. They constantly think about them and cannot focus on anything else.
This can lead to the person becoming distracted from other important things in life, such as work or school. In addition, if someone has been doing this for too long, it could lead to relationship problems and even breakups.
There will always be someone out there who can fill the void they feel inside of themselves if they concentrate on something else. So this should be your first step towards overcoming this obsession and focusing on yourself again.
#2 You Are Taking Them For Granted
If you have been with someone for a long time, you will understand the meaning of the word ‘taking someone for granted. You will do this if you constantly obsess over them and continuously think about them.
If this is the case, then it is likely that you will make the same mistakes repeatedly with your partner. There is no point in wasting your time with someone who will never truly appreciate what you have done for them.
It would be much better to focus on yourself for a while and let your partner work out their problems independently. You can always find someone else when the time comes that they need someone new in their life.
#3 You Are Ignoring Their Emotions
If you have been with your current partner for a long time, you know that there will be moments when they are not feeling well. Don’t ignore it. Your actions will hurt them.
If you want to help them, it is best to get them out of their head and give them some space. If they are not ready to come back, then at least let them be alone for a while to work things out on their own.
It is not worth pushing them into something that they do not want to do. This can lead to a vicious cycle of unnecessary arguments and stress in the relationship. Suddenly, either you or your partner will become the wrong person in the relationship.
