4. Increased Flexibility
Exercise increases flexibility in the joints of the body. For example, you can exercise your shoulder and strengthen the muscles in your shoulder in order to prevent injury.
You will be able to maintain flexibility and increase range of motion in the joints of your body which is necessary for optimal health as well as preventing injuries from falling and other accidents that can lead to injury or loss of balance.
5. Improved Blood Flow
Exercise improves blood flow throughout the body by helping to improve circulation and remove toxins from the body (especially important for pregnant women).
Improving blood flow helps with healing injuries, helps with oxygen delivery throughout the body, increases muscle strength and tone, reduces swelling, improves sleep quality, and keeps a healthy heart rate throughout the day.
It also helps maintain an optimal level of hormones such as insulin which helps control blood sugar levels within normal ranges for optimal health. Exercise also decreases muscle soreness by increasing circulation so that damaged muscles do not stay sore for long periods of time.
6. Decreased Body Fat

Exercise helps to decrease body fat by increasing your metabolism which helps burn calories and help you maintain a healthy weight. When you exercise regularly, your body will be able to burn more calories during the day than if you did not exercise at all.
By exercising regularly, you will also be able to maintain a healthy weight and keep your BMI within the normal range for optimal health (underweight <18.5, normal weight 18.5-24.9, overweight 25-29.9, obese >30).
7. Decreased Risk of Heart Disease
Exercise is one of the best things you can do for your heart. It is an effective way to reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke.
Regular exercise helps to improve blood flow throughout the body, decreases body fat, improves blood pressure, increases muscle strength and tone, improves cholesterol levels, and reduces stress.
By exercising regularly, you will be able to decrease your risk of heart disease by approximately 25%.
