4. Track your workouts.
If you are going to the gym, you should track your workouts. This will enable you to track your progress and to see what areas you need to work on. If you can’t track the exercise you are doing, how do you know if you are doing the right exercises?
5. Don’t think that you have to give up all of your bad habits.
Most people think that they have to quit all of their bad habits when they begin to work out. This isn’t the case. You should give up some of your bad habits, but you don’t need to give up everything. You can be an occasional smoker and still be healthy, as long as you work out and be careful about eating.
6. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.

If you have never worked out before, then you need to go to a personal trainer. I know that a personal trainer can be expensive, but it will definitely be worth it. A personal trainer will help you get started, and they will teach you all of the basics. They will also keep you motivated to keep working out.
