Another person said that he got hurt when making an adjustment on his table saw because of bad technique. One of the most common causes of accidents with hand tools is not following proper safety procedures or techniques.

Cause #3: Poor Maintenance Is Being Done

A lot of accidents happen because of poor maintenance being done on hand tools. For example, one man stated that his cordless drill battery ran out of power before he could finish working on his car, so he had to stop working on it and go home without finishing what he had started.,

Another man stated that after fixing his power tool’s belt, it started leaking oil again, so he had to take it back to the shop and have it fixed again. Another man stated that he accidentally put his hands in the air when he was using a cordless drill, so he got a lot of splinters in his hands.
