4. Natural Language Processing
Natural language processing (NLP) is the ability of a computer to take in a block of text as an input and to understand and generate natural language or human language. A widespread application of NLP is text analysis.
5. Robotics
Robotics is the branch of technology that deals with the design, construction, operation, and application of robots. Robots are often used in fields that are considered too dangerous for humans. For example, robots are used in bomb squads and bomb disposal units.
They can be used in other areas as well. For example, in agriculture, robots can be used to monitor crops and soil.
6. Autonomous Vehicles
In the next decades, we will see more and more self-driving cars on the road. The vehicles will use AI technology to drive themselves. This is one of the most challenging AI applications.
The concept is straightforward. First, a map of the roads must be created so that the vehicle can know where it is. Then, the vehicle must be able to recognize obstacles and other vehicles. Finally, it must be able to perform actions like braking and steering. Self-driving cars will be able to reduce traffic accidents.
