2. Metrograph, New York City
The Metrograph is a famous independent cinema located on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, which first opened its doors in 2016.
Alexander Olch designed the building. The design includes several unique features such as an 8-foot-tall (2.4 m) cube entrance with an acrylic wall of glass.
It allows visitors to see the films being projected inside while they wait for their turn to get into the theater.
Visitors can also use their coat check ticket to gain access to any of the three screening rooms on different floors of the building (where admission is free).
3. Le Grand Rex, Paris
The Le Grand Rex is a movie theater located on the Grand Boulevard of Paris. It was designed by Auguste Bluysen and is considered to be one of the most famous cinemas in the world.
The theater is famous for its unique architecture and interior design, which include two central spiral staircases, a huge golden chandelier, ornate mirrors, ornate statues, gilded panels, and columns with carvings.
