What is mental health?

Mental health refers to the state of mind, which affects the mental processes of an individual or group of people. One’s environment, biological factors, family history and life experiences influence their mental health.

How can you tell if you have strong mental health?

We consider people with a strong mental health to be mentally healthy people. We can assess the mental health of an individual by checking the common features and behaviour in them.

These features can help you to know whether an individual is mentally healthy or not. These characteristics include self-control, coping skills, clear vision, attitude towards their problems and social relationships. 

1) Self-control

Mentally healthy people have self-control. They control their emotions and thoughts well. They are able to manage their moods by expressing themselves calmly and without any tension or stress.

They also have the ability to control their emotions well so that they don’t show them on their face or to others.

2) Cope skills

Mentally healthy people have good coping skills so that they can handle situations effectively. They don’t have difficult time to cope with stressful situations without showing any signs of anxiety or panic attacks.

They handle the condition easily without panicking or feeling upset easily when they get into difficult situations like arguments or arguments with family members etc.
