#3 Make a Request

If you have a difficult coworker at work, it is best to make a request and see if they are willing to do something different.

It is best to first ask the person nicely and if they still do not agree with you, then you can also ask them nicely if they will at least try to work out something with you that will allow both of you to achieve your goals. You might feel this is a difficult conversation to have, but it is very important to do this.

The same thing goes for when someone wants something different than what you want. If the other person does not agree with what you want, it is best if you simply make a request and see if they are willing to do something different.

It is usually best to ask them politely, but if they are unwilling or uncooperative, then be prepared for some negative responses.
